Banking and Finance
The Banking and Finance ESP course is aimed at individuals working within the finance and accounting industries. Similarly, students studying finance and accounting will find this course suitable. The course is designed to teach students the language skills required to communicate effectively in a variety of financial contexts. Additionally, the course will develop the language skills used in a number of situations. This will be achieved through increasing the students’ knowledge of the specific vocabulary needed in the financial sector.
This course aims to:
- Develop the functional language used in the stock market. Similarly, to assess economic conditions and forecasts
- Encourage participation and understanding of pitches and debates about assorted topics. For example, mergers, acquisitions and software packages
- Expand the vocabulary used to write and understand financial reports, strategies and risk assessments/analyses.
Our teachers, typically, follow a set syllabus. And, students follow along with a course book or materials provided. Each week, students can expect to cover a range of topics and skills. Typically, students will study grammar, reading, writing and vocabulary on a weekly basis.
