English for Lawyers
Our Legal English ESP course is aimed at lawyers, legal professionals and students of law. The course covers a wide range of specialist law-related topics, from Company Law to Transnational Law. Students attending this course will develop the necessary skills to communicate effectively and perform on an international level.

Course content
- Our lessons follow a set textbook and aim at developing and strengthening students’ communicative skills, as well as reading and writing skills within a law context.
- Students attending this course will develop the language used to communicate in a court of law and to argue a case in English.
- Our course will equip students with the vocabulary to understand and discuss the differences in civil, common and criminal law, as well as to encourage the use of terminology in the legal profession.
- The course includes visits to the Central Criminal Court (Old Bailey) during which students can observe the proceedings of one or more criminal cases from within Greater London (the 32 London boroughs).
