At Rose of York, our dedicated welfare team is always available for our students. We take the time to get to know our students and take good care of them. Student welfare is a priority at Rose of York. Our team is always on hand to help with any issue, large or small, academic or personal.

Our team has been trained to help students adapt to life in the UK.

We will provide students with all the help, support and advice they need. This might be related to welfare, academics, travel and accommodation, visa or pre-departure information.

Pre-Arrival Information

Before your arrival, we will send you general information about your class and, if booked, your accommodation. The week before your scheduled arrival, we will send you our student handbook. Here, you will have all relevant details about the school and a brief introduction to our policies.

Visa Information

We can assist you if you require a visa to travel to the United Kingdom. Please see our Visa Information page for more information. Or, you can contact us directly for more details.

Accommodation

Rose of York can book accommodation for our students. Accommodation is a great chance for students to practise their English outside the classroom. Another advantage to living in accommodation is meeting new people. If students are missing home or feeling lonely, homestay hosts are always available. Homestay hosts know that moving away from home can be difficult. So, students should not hesitate to talk with their hosts.

Airport Transfer

Sometimes, students might be a little intimidated when travelling to London for the first time. Therefore, students may feel a little more relaxed by booking a taxi transfer from the airport or station. Or, please contact us for more information.

University Placement Service

Students also have access to our University Placement Services. People interested in further studies within the United Kingdom can take part in this course. Students can expect to study the academic skills, language and functions needed in higher education. Additionally, teachers aim to develop critical thinking and autonomous learning techniques. This is done in order to prepare students studying a degree in English. Please see our University Preparation Course for more information.

Exam Information

Our English Exam preparation courses are designed to help students achieve the necessary score in their chosen English Exam. Our Exam preparation classes include IELTS preparation and the Cambridge Exams (PET, FCE, CAE and BEC). We can also help you reserve these exams.
