Nationality Mix

We are very proud of our nationality mix at Rose of York Language School. The pie chart below illustrates the nationalities of our school.

Students studying at Rose of York can make friends from around the world. We had students coming from 46 different countries. The top five nationalities are Japanese, Italian, Russian, Turkish and Spanish.

As a result, students can learn about different cultures in class. As most of our students come directly from their home country, and are here for a limited time, many students find it comforting to know that they are in the same situation as others.

Age Mix

We are very proud of our age mix at Rose of York Language School. The pie chart below illustrates the range of ages in our school.

At Rose of York, we divide our students into two major categories. First, we have students under the age of 16. Students aged 12 to 15 study in separate classes (not with adults). Our Young Learners have classes specially designed, and, age-appropriate classes. And second, you will see the age group consists of students 16 years old and older, that is, adults. We have numerous subcategories for the adults group. We endeavour to mix all adults are and classes not separated by age. However, some students aged 16 or 17 might study in the Young Learner classes. Similarly, on rare and unavoidable occasions, a 15-year-old might study in an adult class. In these situations, relevant permissions and risk-assessments would be sourced.

You can see in the pie chart below that majority of our students are aged between 18 and 25 years old. Conversely, students aged between 36 and 45 are the minority. At Rose of York, we strive to have a range of ages (and nationalities) in each class. We believe that this encourages students to learn from and challenge each other.

As most of our students are new to London, and are here for a limited time, many students find it comforting to know that they are in the same situation as others.
