English for Lawyers
The Legal English ESP course is aimed at lawyers, legal professionals and students of law. The course covers specialist law related topics, such as, Transnational Law. Additionally, we have designed the course in a way that develops the necessary skills to effectively communicate and perform on an international level.
This course aims to:
- Enable students to write a contract in English, and, extract key information for clients
- Develop the language used to communicate in a court of law and to argue a case for your client in English
- Equip students with the vocabulary to understand and discus the differences in civil, common and criminal law. Similarly, encouraging the use of terminology in the legal profession.
Our teachers, typically, follow a set syllabus. And, students follow along with a course book or materials provided. Each week, students can expect to cover a range of topics and skills. Typically, students will study grammar, reading, writing and vocabulary on a weekly basis.
